Important events require a flawless, radiant look. In fact, a woman wants to look great all the time, regardless the occasion. Still, there are times when just before a major event you notice a pimple, dark circles or other unwanted beauty issues. In these circumstances it is crucial to know some quick and easy fixes in order to solve beauty emergencies. Take a look at some of the most common problems we have to deal with and see how to solve them in an instant and still look gorgeous and glowing.
Pimples
Most common skin issue? Pimples, of course! And the worst thing about pimples is that they appear in the most inappropriate moment. We don't know how they manage to do this, yet pimples seem to make their big entrance one night before having to attend a major event. Still, no need to panic as there are fixes for this too. For example, apply some aspirin mixed with a little bit of water. The salicylic acid found in aspirin is usually combined with other active ingredients in products to fight acne. You can also use some toothpaste and apply directly on the pimple. Make sure it is paste and not gel!
Another option that seems to be the most efficient would be to put an ice pack on the pimple for 5 to 10 minutes to reduce swelling, and then pat the area dry and apply benzoyl peroxide cream.
Dark circles under the eyes
Wow, those mysterious panda eyes! Dark circles under the eyes were always a big problem as they tend to age us and add a tired and dull appearance to our look. Besides, they are really unattractive. The most effective remedy for dark circles are the already famous slices of cucumber which will sooth and cool those raccoon eyes. Leave them on for 5-10 minutes. If you're out of cucumbers, you can still apply an used, squeezed out green or black tea bag. The caffeine contained in tea bags represent a great fix for dark circles by diminishing puffiness.
Smudged mascara
Not a too alluring view, isn't it? The best thing to do in this type of makeup emergency is to take a tissue and pour some lotion on it. Next, apply it on the problematic area and remove the mascara residue. Don't use water! As a final step, use a little concealer or foundation and powder. The perfect way to brighten up your look!
