Give Yourself a Facial Massage

Facial massages are very beneficial for the skin as well as our body. Find out more about the benefits of facial massages and how to perform one on yourself.

Facial massage is a great way to relieve tension, stress, fatigue in order to promote relaxation and a state of well being. Face massages are beneficial for our complexion because they stimulate blood circulation, relieves tension and contributes to the prevention of wrinkles. The face will feel fresher and so will you.

  • To start take a towel, soak it in hot water, squeeze the excess water out and apply the towel over your face. The warm towel will help the face relax and feel softer. Keep the towel over your face until it cools.

  • Apply a little bit of moisturizing face cream on the tip of your fingers and rub them against each other to spread the face cream on all of your fingers.


  • Using your fingers gently slide them around the sides of your face from the forehead to your cheekbones in a downwards motion, increasing pressure gradually.

  • Massage your forehead in an outward motion using your fingers starting at the middle and working your way towards the temples. Repeat a few times until you feel your muscles relax.

  • Stop and gently rub in circular motion, clockwise and counterclockwise your temples. Gently increase and decrease the pressure you are massaging with. This is a great way to reduce head aches and relieve pressure.

  • Work your way down towards the chin and gently pinch your chin. Combine the pinching with circular motions of your finger tips. You can also work your way up to the temples and back down towards the chin.


  • Work your way up towards the scalp and massage the scalp with your fingers. Spread your fingers and apply pressure while moving your hand in a circular motion. Massage the back of your head as well, around the spine.


  • When you are done just lay back a few minutes and enjoy the moment. You will feel more relaxed and comfortable after a facial massage.
